SUM LONDON is rooted in celebrating mixed cultural identities. We create luxury heritage clothing and share authentic Asian diasporic stories through well-crafted clothing designed in London, Britain.
Our designs balance traditional Eastern silhouettes with contemporary utilitarian clothing to create a culturally referential, everyday wardrobe.
SUM LONDON is founded by London-Born Chinese designer Margaret Sam.
It has always been her goal to build SUM LONDON after gaining relevant industry experience. Margaret studied Fashion Design in London and Seoul, has worked in outerwear for Hugo Boss in Metzingen, Germany, worked for Nicholas Daley, and Griffin Studio, pioneers of outerwear based in North Devon. With this broad insight, it was time to take this invaluable experience and apply it to create a community close to her heart.
SUM LONDON embodies her mixed ESEA heritage, and multi-cultural British upbringing. Margaret uses her layered cultured perspective to design heritage clothing made to reflect a natural world of overlapping cultural identities.
Our clothing reaches beyond these origins and worn by a cosmopolitan and forward-thinking generation.
